Help us grow.
There are many ways to help Outland Opera get off the ground.
Whether you want to connect with your local history, meet like-minded people in your area, invest in your community, or contribute financially to the arts in a time of need - there is a way you can help us. Every tiny contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference to us… and as a small organisation, you can rest assured that a little really does go a long way.
Outland Opera is a Registered Charity (No.1194099).
Voices.
Do you have a story to tell?
Outland Opera doesn’t work without your involvement. It’s our obsession with myths, legends, and old wives’ tales that got us going on this project, so in the run-up to The Stones Sing, we’d like to hear and collect as many local stories as possible. We will be listening to your stories at a set of free events in the summer of 2021 called ‘Story Shares’, and we’d love for you to join us.
We are also interested in hearing your views. Maybe our performances are too expensive, or too far away… or maybe you have specific access issues. We can’t promise to solve every problem, but if we know your views then we can try our best to improve our offering.
Time.
Do you like getting your hands dirty?
Donating time is the ideal option for those who do not feel like they can make a financial contribution. We really need volunteers, particularly at our Wynford Eagle site, and would love to hear from you. We are a friendly bunch and prefer enthusiasm and commitment to experience.

Cash.
Do you want to help us quickly and easily?
Let’s not beat about the bush - donating money is the simplest way to make a difference. Putting on shows is an expensive business when you commit to paying your staff a decent wage, and Outland Opera is determined to do things properly. We are extremely grateful to receive in-kind support from our project partners, English Heritage, The Churches Conservation Trust and Dorset Escape, but we need help to cover our annual and project costs.
At a time where British people are suffering, and the arts are severely underfunded, providing support to Outland Opera means:
promoting local stories and community pride
standing up for the arts in the UK
helping communities get close again after politics and a pandemic drove us apart
enabling local people to escape their day-to-day through joyful stories, without having to travel miles and miles to do so
Of course, donating to such an innovative venture will leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling… but that’s not all! The more you donate, the more benefits you can expect to receive. For various levels of giving, please see below.
