Story Shares are free spoken word events for people who want to share or listen to stories from their local area. The events are also key to Outland Opera’s community co-producing research.
Outland Opera’s first ever Story Shares took place in July 2021 and were facilitated by the creative team for The Stones Sing.

The events gave us a rich, detailed and intimate account of the areas around our sites for The Stones Sing, from the people that live there. Each ‘Story Share’ participant contributes to the creation of our opera as co-producers.
Our creative team is also working with Dorset photographer, Jorge Stride, to create multi-media explorations of each area using the stories, memories and histories that we gathered.
